An avid reader, writer and drama admirer who has dedicated her whole life to theatre and film, with the inclination towards writing and storytelling stemming back to early childhood with the publishing of children’s short story at just ten years old. From Drama schools and performances at age 6, to being in the top 10% in Drama in the UK at GCSE; I have always been heavily involved in writing, producing and acting in theatres across the North East. At present there is a multitude of writing opportunities of which I am involved, including writing a children’s novel, a self help book, a play and a short film that are in the motion of being produced. I have also developed a 6 part series, that I am pitching to a production company in the coming weeks. In addition to this I am developing and writing multiple series’ with well established writers, of whom I have worked with in the industry as a script supervisor/editor. My experience both on and off set, has enabled me to identify ideas and trends to help me successfully determine what’s hot and what’s not.

Too many to mention as I absolutely love every job I work on. It's everything to me, no matter how hard or challenging it may be. I am so loyal to the productions I work on and will see everything through with a positive, can do attitude. Recently I Script Edited / Supervised, Sally Lindsay and Sue Vincent's Debut writing gig - Madame Blanc; which was shot in Malta during COVID restrictions. It was challenging work being abroad from home for 3 month, but the experience of doing so, has completely changed my life. Not only have I made some invaluable contacts with regards to my writing, I have also made friends for life in Sally and Sue. So grateful for all of the amazing opportunities I have been given in life!!
I also really enjoyed working on Two Doors Down! Not only were the Cast and Crew amazing, but you were guarenteed to be laughing every single day! I loved working with Director Sasha Ransome, she is an amazingly talented lady and a real pleasure to work with. My favourite producer has to be, Rebecca Davies. No matter what job I work on with her, she always makes it so enjoyable. She is so supportive of my career and I'm so grateful of all the opportunities she has given me. My all time favourite serial drama has to be Emmerdale! I adore the Yorkshire life and hope to relocate to Harrogate one day soon. I have never met such an all round lovely bunch of people, the cast and crew are so friendly and you are always smiling from ear to ear, being in the lovely village (what ever the weather)!
It's difficult to say really, as you never know what is around the corner but hopefully continuing to have a successful career within scripts, particularly in pursuing my career as a well established broadcast writer and producer. At the moment I am writing with a few different established writers, with the aim to get something I have written commissioned in the near future. I am passionate about representing the North of England in a positive light and my writing style reflects my regional voice. I would really love use my experiences from runner level to script supervisor to writer, to help make productions a happy, diverse and positive environment for all whilst creating innovative and unique ideas and material. Recently, I have had meetings with managing directors of production companies, who are giving me the opportunity to give direct notes to writers, producers and directors on the productions I am working on. I have lot's of real life stories and scripts that I have written; and I am absolutely committed to dedicating every waking minute of my life to my aspirations, as I have done for many years. Big plans I know, but I truly believe that anything is achievable in this industry, if you work hard, be nice and believe in yourself!
Definitely has to be being under pressure and in the thick of it. Some people don't enjoy working to extreme deadlines in their job, but I think its the most exciting part of the process. Knowing that people are depending on you for answers and having a deadline in which to complete, is a great feeling when you succeed. Working in this capacity means you have to constantly be on the ball, but what it does give you is an immense sense of achievement and enables you to build the most amazing resilience and professionalism when you get the job done!
Currently I am in the process of pitching a series I have developed; with the hope of having it commissioned. This is the most exciting and mind-blowing experience I have had in my life but I truly believe if you just go for it, it will happen for you. I also have two books I have written, a play and a short film that are being produced this year. My aim after the pandemic, is to concentrate whole heartedly on pursuing my career within writing / producing content and I will stop at nothing in order to achieve it.
