About Me

About Me

I have over twenty years experience in Drama and over Ten years within Television and Film Production, particularly focused on scripts however I have vast experience working on a variety of different genre's; including factual entertainment, documentary, reality, drama, children's and film.

Since childhood I have dedicated my life to writing, from taking classes outside of school, to studying Drama and Film throughout my college and university years and now working within scripts on some of the biggest UK productions. I also have a First class degree in Media Production, Film and Television and a creative MA.

Whilst at University, I took the lead of script writer and producer on all of the films in which we produced, producing a Drama that was nominated for a prestigious RTS Award and since have gone on to become chair of judges at that very award ceremony. I also like to help out at Northern Film and Media trainee Boot camps, to give something back to the industry!

In the past I have taken part in a lot of talent schemes, such as being chosen as a Network Delegate at the Edinburgh International Television Festival, a creative Skillset HETV chosen 50 and Channel 4's 4Talent Scheme to name a few. Most recently, I was head hunted from ITV Talent North and invited to an ITV story lining workshop off the back of a script I had sent in and I am 1 of 10 candidates long-listed for 1 to 1 coaching for a Development Producer training opportunity with Tiger Aspect.

For me working in the Television and Film industry is not just a career, it is something which I have dedicated my whole life to achieving. When I'm not supervising and editing scripts on for some of the UK's most well loved Television and Film Productions, I am writing and Developing projects of my own, some of which are in development as we speak.

Drama is my passion and I am dedicated, motivated and extremely determined to create engaging and innovative material. I absolutely love every bit of the production process and my enthusiasm for the industry always keeps everyone's spirits up, throughout the filming day.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, writing my own scripts, taking stills, drawing, reading and catching up on the latest Netflix series. I am a friendly Geordie with a lovely accent and great people skills. I enjoy socialising with the crew I meet on the jobs, who become my friends for life.

Excited to see what the future has in store within the TV industry. What a truly amazing and exciting industry to be a part of!
